The purpose of this web site is to introduce you to Vermont’s finest independent home inspector and home inspection company. We take pride in our customer service, our independent spirit, our comprehensive reports, our thorough inspections, and the large and varied types of other AAA home inspection services including water, lead and radon testing. We have inspected homes of every variety: New and old, log cabins to ranches, from capes to contemporary and everything in between, lodges, homes on the National Historic Register, large and small condominiums, mobile and double-wide homes, modular homes to historic homes, from the usual to the unusual. We have seen a lot in our 25 years of experience in the inspection field we are the house masters in Vermont. We know we are the Better Home Inspection Company. We love it when our customers are at the inspection and accompany us throughout the review. Our reports are comprehensive, narrative, and provide information from the roof through to the foundation. All reports are provided with digital photographs in a format that you can actually see what we want you to see. We can provide you a hand written report on the day of the inspection if time insists, or provide you with a detailed digital report via email or both. |

You decide what is best for you. Our reports range from 15 pages to 40 depending on the home and the issues. Our reports length only reflects the current condition of the home not some pre-canned fill in the blank software program and is not a series of check boxes. You can use our web site navigation bar to search out information about our fees, radon and water testing, customer comments, and discounts. This year so far we have Inspected homes in the following Vermont Towns: including: Addison, Barnard, Bennington, Bradford, Brandon, Benson, Bridport, Burlington, South Burlington, Castleton, Chester, Clarendon, Corinth, Essex Junction, Fairfax, Fletcher, Fair Haven, Fairlee, Granville, Groton, Hancock, Hartford, Hinesburg, Johnson, Killington, Ludlow, Manchester, Mendon, Middlebury, Northfield, Norwich, Orwell, Pittsford, Plymouth, Poultney, Pownal, Randolph, Rochester, Rutland, Rutland Town, West Rutland, Shelburne, Springfield, St. Albans, Starksboro, Strafford, Tinmouth, Vergennes, Wallingford, Warren, Williston, Woodbury, and Woodstock. We are the Better Home Inspector for homes in several Western New Hampshire towns including: Claremont, Lebanon, West Lebanon, Orford, Hanover, Etna, and West Unity, and Cornish. We will work in any town in the State of Vermont. The Vermont Home Inspector is the real inspector, highly trained, professional with the proper Insurances. We are registered with the State Of Vermont, and have over 25 years of experience in the Inspection industry, building construction, and training. We will use all of our training and experience on your home. When you hire us, we work for you; not the realtor, seller, or any one else! We didn’t receive our training on line, or through correspondence courses. We didn’t buy a franchise to get our certifications. We were schooled in construction engineering at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Spent many years in the construction industry by OJT, working at many different levels of construction. Then receiving very specific building inspection training by the State of Vermont to be a state certified building inspector. Then managing two State Inspection Offices for the Vermont Building Inspection Program. Working as an inspector and manager for 12 years as a Certified Building Inspector, and finally inspecting homes and commercial properties independently since 1998. If you hear a realtor say we’re to picky, very technical or take to long to inspect or we’re a deal breaker its because we do our job! We do not solicit realtors for referrals. Our customers find us by word of mouth, internet searches, or are returning customers and we have many. You will not be treated like the Criterium bicycle race where speed is everything. Our goal is simple and we are dedicated to it. We want to assist you in making what may be one of the largest financial decisions you’ll ever make in your life. This decision should be based on your knowledge and not on emotions.
